Therese Misner

"Do what you love"

A lifelong Oregonian, Therese Misner is the artist and founder of Tilleene Designs, LLC. Her passion for art began early—by third grade, she was drawing daily, nurturing a creative spark that continued to grow throughout her youth. After her parents decided against art school, she pursued a long and successful career in finance as a Certified Financial Planner® and earning her MBA. Eventually, Therese made the bold decision to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a professional artist. For over a decade, she has dedicated herself to her creative journey.

Valuing both growth and discipline, Therese is graduate of the Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program and is a committed lifelong learner. Equally passionate about the business and creative sides of her career, she often jokes, “I have a twisted mind—using both my right and left brains for problem-solving and artistic expression.”

Working primarily in oil and mixed media, Therese’s art spans a range of subjects, from atmospheric abstract landscapes to her emotive “Compelling Women” series. Her style is a thoughtful blend of traditional and contemporary influences, where realism and abstraction meet through expressive color, light, and movement. Each piece is designed to take the viewer on a heartfelt visual journey—reflective, meaningful, and full of emotion.

Therese paints from her studio on her family’s 120 year old Century farm in Oregon, where she lives with her husband and where they raised their two daughters. She finds deep joy in connecting with collectors and is continually creating new work. Her guiding principle—both in art and in life—is simple: “Do what you love.”

Beauty - Story- Soul

Artist Statement

Beauty – Story - Soul

"My goal is to create art that shares beauty, tells a story, and touches your soul." Therese Misner

I strive to create art that evokes a sense of calm and timelessness. Rooted in a modern Impressionist style, my work explores a range of subjects—from abstracted landscapes to expressive portrayals of women. Working in oil mixed media, I blend traditional and contemporary techniques on canvas. I’m less concerned with precise realism and more interested in capturing a mood, a moment, or an emotional atmosphere. Through color, light, and texture, I aim to create beauty and heartfelt visual journeys.
